Things to Do

In addition to all of the restaurants, wineries, and cafés to try downtown and elsewhere, there are a handful of exciting annual events that take place right here in Livermore. Harvest Festival takes place every Labor Day weekend and celebrates grape crushing season. The Downtown Christmas Parade has taken place every year since 1996, with 50 floats boasting local organization and business pride (with Santa leading the way!). The monthly ArtWalk brings lots of joy to the community, along with other wine-related festivals organized by LVwine.org and livermoredowntown.com. For art lovers, a visit to Bankhead Theatre is performing arts heaven with 500 seats and opera, ballet, and theater productions as well as concerts. To shake off stress or get active after experiencing all of the good eats in town, head to Del Valle Lake and Park to walk the 10-mile stretch of gorgeous waters, go camping with family, or boating with friends.
